Swim With Adilson

Adilson, originally from Portugal, has been an avid swimming enthusiast for many years. After graduating, Adilson ventured into casual work while searching for a job, and lifeguarding seemed like a natural fit. He obtained the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) in 2013 and went on to work with various esteemed establishments, including Hilton London Hotel, Le Méridien Hotel, David Lloyd, Virgin Active, Guy’s and St. Thomas Hospital, Nuffield, Dulwich College, GLL, and Peabody. During this time, Adilson's passion for swimming remained strong, leading him to complete a STA Swimming Teaching Course. Although he taught for a brief period, his career focus shifted elsewhere. However, now, driven by his enduring passion for swimming, Adilson has decided to reignite his involvement in the discipline.

As a swimming teacher with many years of experience, Adilson holds STA Level 2 Award and NPLQ qualifications. His extensive background in lifeguarding and teaching swimming has provided him with valuable skills and expertise in the aquatic field.

Adilson finds teaching the Swimming Nature Programme particularly appealing due to its confident approach to teaching, which encourages students to learn without relying on floats. Additionally, he appreciates the program's emphasis on meaningful teacher-student interactions, with small class sizes (two students maximum) and the teacher being in the water alongside the students.

Adilson enjoys teaching students of any ages. His comfort and proficiency in the water, coupled with his genuine passion for swimming, make him an ideal instructor to convey his love for the sport to his students.

Choosing to become a Swimming Nature teacher was a natural decision for Adilson. With his strong comfort level in water, his genuine enjoyment of swimming, and his belief in adding value to his students' experiences, he sees teaching as a way to make a positive impact and inspire others in their swimming journey.
