Robert
Robert has been involved in swimming from an early age, beginning his journey in competitive swimming and achieving county and national qualifying times. His passion for the water has always been evident, finding both comfort and freedom in the pool. His teaching experience began with supporting different swim squads, eventually leading him to obtain his swimming teaching qualification in 2018. Over the years, he has taught at multiple swim schools, balancing this role alongside his university studies and the successful landscape company he founded over half a decade ago. Now, Robert is embarking on an exciting new chapter—establishing a small-scale, diverse farm, fulfilling a lifelong dream rooted in his love for the outdoors and horticulture. In addition to launching various farm-related enterprises, he is also reviving his flower business, which he first started at the age of 11. Alongside these ventures, Robert has joined Swimming Nature, where he continues to share his passion for swimming through expert instruction. As part of the Private Lessons Programme, he delivers personalised, one-on-one lessons designed to help swimmers of all levels develop their technique and confidence in the water. His experience, combined with his dedication to tailored teaching, ensures that every lesson is engaging, effective, and enjoyable.
Thomas
I have been swimming for most of my life! I found my love for swimming in my early teens where I discovered my passion for the water, particularly butterfly stroke. I was the fastest 50-metre butterfly swimmer in the UK at the age of 16. I am friendly, patient and enthusiastic about facilitating people of all ages to gain swimming skills, however, I feel strongly about enabling younger swimmers with disabilities to become confident in the water and find their own love for swimming. I am passionate about fitness, reflective in my education pathway in sports science. I am excited to be working with Swimming Nature as their approach to teaching swimming is unique, encouraging a happy lifelong relationship with water.
Please bring a swimsuit, towel, goggles and a swim cap. For babies, you’ll need one disposable swim nappy and one happy nappy (or equivalent).
