Kisha
Kisha, originating from the United Kingdom, has embarked on a transformative journey from an uninspiring office environment to the dynamic world of teaching. With a background that spans 7 years in an office setting, Kisha realized that the monotony of her work didn't resonate with her sense of joy and motivation. This realization prompted her to make a pivotal decision - to transition into teaching. Kisha's motivation to teach is fueled by the sense of accomplishment and pride she experiences when witnessing her students conquer challenges. This intrinsic reward is what keeps her motivated every day, as she finds purpose in facilitating her students' growth. Upon venturing into the realm of teaching, Kisha found her niche in the Swimming Nature Programme. What she particularly enjoys about our program is the opportunity to not only instruct but also immerse herself in the water alongside her students. This approach fosters a stronger bond between teacher and students, enabling trust and facilitating a more effective learning experience. Kisha's affinity for teaching extends to the early stages of learning. She takes pleasure in guiding beginners, enabling them to explore new experiences and build confidence in the water. This commitment to nurturing a strong foundation aligns with her aspiration to make a meaningful impact on her students' lives. Choosing to become a Swimming Nature teacher was a conscious decision for Kisha. The program's hands-on approach resonated with her desire to facilitate rapid progress and development among her students. The opportunity to contribute to positive change in people's lives, coupled with the program's immersive teaching methods, made the choice even more compelling. In her personal pursuits, Kisha finds joy in mountain biking, playing the guitar, and hiking. These activities not only provide a balance to her professional life but also showcase her zest for adventure and exploration. Kisha Summana's transformation from an office worker to an aspiring and passionate swimming instructor is a testament to her determination to pursue a fulfilling and impactful career. Her commitment to guiding students through challenges, fostering their growth, and making a positive difference in their lives demonstrates her dedication to teaching and helping others succeed.
Natalie
Natalie has always been a sporty person and as a kid always looked forward to sports day and swimming. She started swimming at the age of 6 at her local pool and progressed quickly each week when going swimming with school. Anything the class couldn't teach her she taught herself using a book she bought at book club. Once she had left primary school and went to secondary she got into athletics both track and field, this included discus in which she came 1st 4 years in a row, long jump, high jump, 4 x100m relay and hurdles. A few years later she met someone who was a swimming instructor for swimming nature, it sparked fond memories of swimming and how free it made her feel so I got her qualifications and decided I would like to teach other people how to swim either from scratch or to improve on what they already knew. Natalie thinks that swimming is also a lifesaving skill that every man, woman and child should have under their belt. She really enjoys teaching people what she knows and seeing them progress, how it all comes together, the thrill on people’s faces once they know how makes it all worthwhile.
Ryan
Wesla
Wesla started swimming teaching as a change of career to suit her family better. She was working in customer services before but as soon as she got into teaching, she loved it and knew its what she wanted to be doing as her job and she haven't looked back since. Wesla holds a Level 2 teaching qualification and a Royal lifesaving certificate. Wesla has a bubbly personality so she works well with children and adults, and she takes into consideration different types of people who she may work with and tailor her approach to suit them so they will feel more comfortable. Wesla loves the small class size of the swimming nature methodology as believes it allows a higher quality of the lesson and a tailored attention. She enjoys teaching children of any ages and abilities!
