Federico
Federico, hailing from Italy and fluent in both Italian and English, brings 15 years of swimming experience and a diverse professional background to his role as a Swimming Teacher. Holding the STA swimming teacher award and the Brevetto Istruttore FIN, Federico has been a qualified Swimming Teacher for two years in Italy and recently embarked on a teaching journey in the UK. Federico's professional journey began with four years as a lifeguard in Italy, where he also pursued and completed an instructor course at FIN Level 1. Following this, he worked for two years as an Instructor. Upon relocating to London in 2019, Federico temporarily shifted gears, delving into the hospitality sector while concurrently enhancing his language and mathematical skills at London South-East College. Once confident in his English proficiency, Federico redirected his focus, resuming his passion for swimming instruction and attaining the STA swimming teacher award. Teaching the Swimming Nature Programme appeals to Federico, particularly for the opportunity to teach without buoyancy aids. This unique approach aligns with his teaching philosophy, adding a layer of depth to his instructional methods. Federico finds joy in instructing individuals at Level 3-4-5, showcasing his versatility and adaptability as an instructor. Choosing to become a Swimming Nature teacher stems from Federico's aspiration for continuous improvement in his teaching skills. He sees the program as a valuable resource to enhance his knowledge and refine his instructional techniques. Federico's commitment to professional growth aligns with his overarching career objectives, making him a dedicated and dynamic addition to the world of swimming instruction.
Lauren
Lauren has been swimming for all of her life and this is where her passion for teaching others how to swim has come from. After swimming and competing for Erith & District Swimming Club for 6 years in many galas and competitions such as the Kents, Lauren decided to become a lifeguard which then led to her pursuing her career in swimming teaching. She still swims as a hobby and has always loved being in the water, venturing to different countries during her time off to snorkel and dive with dolphins, whales and many other amazing marine animals! After gaining her swimming instructor qualification, Lauren realised that this is what she has a passion for and found that it was so rewarding seeing non swimmers progress and learn from her as well as inspiring her better swimmers to even go on to try snorkelling or scuba diving! Swimming Nature has given her the opportunity to grow as a swimming teacher and as an individual, as well as providing new, promising methods of how to teach swimming to all ages - which Lauren loves putting into practice!
