We teach beginners and train athletes. We build confidence in nervous first-timers and refine technique in competent swimmers. However old you are, whatever level you’re at, Swimming Nature can help.
By combining highly structured modular lesson plans, small class sizes and hands-on, in-water instructor attention, we ensure you or your child makes rapid and visible progress.
Not only do we emphasise the mechanics of the four strokes, but we teach the how, why and what behind effortless, energy-efficient swimming, so with Swimming Nature, you’ll swim faster, better and in harmony with your body.
Ana is a very experienced swimming instructor, a role she has performed since 2005. In her time as an instructor, Ana has taught a variety of students, ranging from babies and children, to adults and swimmers with special needs. Previously based in Spain, Ana has taught in a number of different clubs and a variety of class types, ranging from individual classes, groups and aqua-gym, to synchronised swimming. As well as being an experienced instructor, Ana has her own brilliant background as a swimmer. With both parents involved in water sports, Ana has been a swimmer since the age of 4, mastering all four strokes at a young age, before moving on to the other challenging activities of water polo and synchronised swimming. At the age of 10, Ana had already won her first medal at a National Championship for team swimming, before becoming a Federated water polo player later on in her swimming career. Away from the pool, Ana enjoys taking long walks in the countryside and has a love for photography and sweet sticky toffee pudding! Ana joined the Swimming Nature team in 2016 for its philosophy that water is a friend and something we should enjoy and not fight. She values the programmes approach in teaching water confidence and safety!

Thais grew up in Brazil so she has had lots of exposure to swimming and started swimming in a swimming club from the age of twelve. She qualified as a Swimming Teacher in London and like all our teachers is a qualified Lifeguard. In Brazil, Thais studied pedagogy, which is very much a part of the Swimming Nature method and she took to our teaching programmes like a “duck to water’! She is excellent with children and especially gentle for the introductory levels of Frog, Seal and Crab level. Thais loves using the Swimming Nature method and finds it to be a fully developed programme with clear and definite targets for the pupils and she loves that the children get rewarded with badges for doing well! With a natural love of teaching children and a big smile Thais is bound to have your little one excited about coming to their weekly swimming lessons.
